The OWLA public forum on February 3 will welcome Dr. Neil Murphy.
Dr. Murphy will highlight his career, discuss the 20 years of experience he and his wife have with storm runoff buffers on land they lease to a crop farmer, and talk about some of his advanced technologies and passions including developing and demonstrating solutions to destroy Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) and their microcystin toxin.
As a reminder, Neil served as the third president of SUNY ESF for 13 years and is currently a professor of Environmental and Sustainable Systems at that institution. Previously, Neil was president and chief executive officer of O’Brien and Gere, a large environmental engineering consulting firm based in Syracuse, New York. He is a Director with the Skaneateles Lake Association and an active member of the SLA’s Lake Ecology Team.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to hear and interact with Professor Murphy.
Questions will be welcomed. We hope you will accept this invitation to watch and participate.
